What happened between Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell as Chelsea make decision on loan deals

Here's all the news from around Stamford Bridge over the past 24 hours.

Guardiola verdict on triple transfer mission

It has been a slow start to the summer transfer window for Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel in terms of new additions.

The German, who was appointed as Blues boss back in January, replacing club legend Frank Lampard, is yet to make his first signing in the role, with departures so far dominating his activity.

However, that could soon change.

Well, at least Tuchel appears to have his targets in mind as it is reported that the German has a firm interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traore, Declan Rice of West Ham United and Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland.

If their reported valuations are anything to go by, Chelsea could be looking at up £260million to land the trio.

And should the Blues pull this stunning triple transfer swoop off, it would get the thumbs up from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Loan army

Whilst fans await news for new arrivals, there will be more exits between now and deadline day.

As revealed by football.london, this summer several players will once again leave Chelsea on loan.

A couple of have already departed: goalkeeper Nathan Collins has joined Hull City for the 2021/22 campaign while young centre-back Levi Colwill will also spend the season in the Championship with Huddersfield Town.

Others will follow in the weeks ahead. Some will come from the first team, others from the development squad and there may even be the odd youth loan or two.

Havertz and Chilwell moment

It was Chelsea vs Chelsea yesterday evening at Wembley Stadium as England faced Germany in a mouth-watering Euro 2020 last-16 clash.

That meant on one side, it was Timo Werner, Antonio Rudiger and Kai Havertz representing the Germans, with Ben Chilwell, Mason Mount and Mason Mount in the England camp.

As it turned out, only the Germany trio got some minutes.

But as seen in the image above there was a nice exchange between Havertz and Chilwell before kick-off, whilst Werner fist-bumped Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Of course, it was the England trio that had the last laugh.

Goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane earned a 2-0 win for the Three Lions and booked their place in the quarter-final at Germany's expense.
