What happened between Christian Pulisic and Jorginho during Chelsea training ahead of Krasnodar

Christian Pulisic and Jorginho appear to be in competition to be crowned Chelsea's nutmeg king.

The pair have been included in Frank Lampard's 22-man squad for this evening's Champions League group stage clash away at Krasnodar.

Having kept clean sheets against both Sevilla and Manchester United in the past week, it's possible that head coach Frank Lampard keeps faith in Jorginho in central midfield.

Champions League match preview: Krasnodar v Chelsea

As for Pulisic, he is still looking for his first goal of the season after returning from injury before the October international break.

Ahead of the game the likes of Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Mateo Kovacic, and N'Golo Kante were put through their paces at the Krasnodar Stadium.

And there was a situation developing between Pulisic and Jorginho.

As spotted in a behind the scenes of Chelsea's training session video uploaded to YouTube by Hayters TV, at around the 4.18 minute-mark, Pulisic nutmegs a first-team coach.

However, Jorginho gets in the action (despite being out of shot) as he does the exact same thing to the coach who suffers the humiliation of a double nutmeg within seconds.

Moments after the second nutmeg, Pulisic looks back and smiles. It's unclear if he was laughing with Jorginho or at the expense of the poor coach.

Despite the incident happening in a flash, a couple of Chelsea fans noticed it.

Al Johna said: "Pulisic backheel nutmeg."

Ray Ray said: "Love the double nutmeg by Pulisic and Jorginho on the coach."

Meanwhile, Michael Owen is tipping Pulisic to make the difference for Chelsea against Krasnodar.

"Chelsea opened their Champions League campaign with a goalless draw against last year’s Europa League winners Sevilla," Owen wrote in his Bet Victor predictions, tipping a 2-0 away win.

"The Blues will be targeting 3 points in this one, and with Christian Pulisic now fit, I think the Blues should have more than enough to take the points back to Stamford Bridge."
