What happened between Abraham, Mount and Hudson-Odoi in Chelsea training ahead of FA Cup tie

There's nothing like friendly competition between teammates.

Not just for a place in the starting line-up, but also on the training ground as displayed by Chelsea trio Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Of the three, two are in contention to feature in this evening's FA Cup fourth round tie away at Hull City.

Ahead of the game at the KCOM Stadium, the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso and Jorginho were put through their paces at the club's training base in Cobham.

And there was a situation developing between Abraham, Mount and Hudson-Odoi.

As spotted in a behind the scenes of Chelsea's training session video uploaded to the club's YouTube page, the trio took part in a crossbar challenge to mixed results.

It all begins at around the 2.49 mark as Hudson-Odoi fluffs his first attempt and has to watch on as Mount hits the bar a few seconds later.

Abraham's first attempt is quite unusual as he takes a couple of touches and is closer to the goal, but still doesn't hit the bar. Although he does smash the ball against the crossbar on his second attempt.

Even Fikayo Tomori got involved and hit the bar with his one and only attempt. At the end of the challenge, Mount had an 100 percent record.

Despite Abraham looking sharp in training, he won't feature against the Tigers this evening.

The England international was seen hobbling off at the final whistle against Arsenal on Tuesday night and head coach Frank Lampard won't be taking any risks with his top scorer.

"The good news is he hasn't fractured anything, we were worried about a hairline fracture," Lampard said in his pre-match press conference. "The other news is we still have to see how he develops. It's not a clear-cut one.

"He's not fit for the weekend, but whether he'll be fit for Leicester after that I'm still not sure.

"So I haven't got great news, or the news for you. It's still not clear at the moment."
