What grade have the Colts earned this offseason?

The majority response from the moves made by the Indianapolis Colts this offseason has been relatively positive following free agency and the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Colts were somewhat quiet in free agency. They felt it best to re-sign the majority of their own players set to hit the market while bringing in defensive end Justin Houston and wide receiver Devin Funchess on two- and one-year deals, respectively.

General manager Chris Ballard stayed away from overpaying a big name just to fill a need and rather opted to continue the path of building the core of the roster through the draft.

Speaking of the draft, the Colts traded back out of the first round while adding a 2020 second-round pick. They made 10 selections, seven of which were on the defensive side of the ball. Three of those seven defensive picks were taken to add depth to the linebacker corps.

There is a lot of optimism for the state of the defense entering the 2019 season given how much athleticism they added during the draft. Whether it will increase production remains to be seen, but they’ve positioned themselves to do so.

Even though the draft emphasized the defensive side of the ball, the Colts added a new weapon for quarterback Andrew Luck in the form of speedy wide receiver Parris Campbell.

With all that, what grade do you think the Colts have earned this offseason through their moves in free agency and the draft? Let us know in the poll below!
