'What goes around comes around' - Thomas Tuchel makes celebration admission after Liverpool and Man City drop points

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel admitted 'there will never be a moment' he celebrates rivals dropping points despite setbacks for Liverpool and Manchester City on Saturday.

The London club beat Newcastle 3-0 at St James' Park, while Liverpool only managed a 2-2 draw at home to Brighton.

It was a far more disappointing result for title holders Manchester City, however, as they were defeated 2-0 by Crystal Palace and were down to 10 men at half-time.

Jurgen Klopp's side remain unbeaten following the result against Brighton, but the gap to leaders Chelsea has increased from one point to three.

Despite both City and Liverpool dropping points, Chelsea boss Tuchel played down the significance of the results and admits there is 'still a long way to go'.

"There will never be a moment where we celebrate the results on the other pitches," he said after their win over Newcastle.

"It’s first of all far too early, second of all we want to focus on ourselves and third of all what goes around comes around, we don’t do this, there’s a long way to go.

"If you think we are even happier now, this is absolutely not true.

"We should have our feet on the ground and be aware of what we put into the games what we are capable of winning.

"We don’t celebrate other teams’ results, you can lose any match in this league. We focus on us and we keep going, let’s see where it goes."

Liverpool face a difficult test against West Ham next Sunday, while Chelsea are at home to Burnley and City are away to rivals Manchester United.
