What Giovani Lo Celso said about Spurs ace Lucas Moura upon his arrival at PSG in 2016

Giovani Lo Celso and Lucas Moura could potentially be reunited at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming weeks if Spurs get their way in the transfer market.

The pair were together for just over a year at Paris Saint-Germain before the Brazilian moved from France to seal a move to Tottenham for £25million in January 2018.

With Lucas proving to be a big hit in north London following his move, former teammate Lo Celso could be about to join him with the Lilywhites keen on signing the Real Betis star.

The 23-year-old headed to Andalusia on loan at the start of the season from the Ligue 1 side and caught the eye with 15 goals before Los Verdiblancos made the move permanent for only €22million in April.

Betis now look set to make a swift profit on the player and he may well be wearing a Spurs shirt against Aston Villa on the opening day of the Premier League season if a move materialises over the coming weeks.

Prior to his move to the French capital from Rosario Central three years ago, the player hailed Lucas and a number of his teammates ahead of linking up with them at the Parc des Princes.

"This experience is going to make me stronger, particularly because I will be surrounded by elite players and that will help me grow," he told French publication Le Parisien (via ESPN). "All of them are impressive, they are of the highest quality.

"I regularly watched them on television or played as them on video games. To actually play alongside them now is going to be a beautiful thing.

"[Edinson] Cavani scores many goals and [Angel] Di Maria has always been an idol of mine.

"However, there are lots of other great players - [Thiago] Motta is very technical, Lucas [Moura]... I cannot pick just one name because they are all phenomenal."

As well as linking up with Lucas at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Lo Celso is also familiar with Serge Aurier following their spell together with the Ligue 1 side and Juan Foyth from the Argentina national team.
