What Gary Lineker said about Spurs and the top four race with Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United

The battle to finish in the top four this season is going to go down to the final day of the season.

Spurs have one game left to play, after Saturday lunchtime's defeat to Bournemouth, ending that game with nine men.

It was Tottenham's sixth away defeat in a row in the Premier League, but despite that they remain in third place in the table.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all have a game in hand, but only Chelsea can move above Mauricio Pochettino's side before the final round of fixtures next Sunday.

Those three teams are hardly in good form either.

'Biggest banter club in history' - Tottenham fans can't believe what's happening vs Bournemouth

Spurs have won just one of their last four Premier League games - a record that is shared by the other three teams in the race to finish in the Champions League places at the end of the campaign.

No one is capitalising on the other sides' slip-ups, with it looking as though none of the four sides in the race looking like they want to finish in the top four.

Whichever teams miss out will play in next season's Europa League competition - not a tournament any of them really want to be in.

But former Spurs man Gary Lineker thinks they are all trying to get into it, given their form.

He said after Spurs' defeat to the Cherries: "Not sure what the attraction is of the Europa League, but some of our clubs seem desperate to be in it."
