Callum Hudson-Odoi made his fifth appearance for Chelsea against Newcastle since coming back from serious injury.
The winger has been in electric form since returning from an Achilles problem that kept him out for around five months.
He set up the only goal of the game for Chelsea against Newcastle, laying the ball off for Marcos Alonso to drill a shot low into the corner with just under 20 minutes of the game remaining.
But his all-round game has been drawing rave reviews, and former England star and Match of the Day pundit Gary Lineker was quick to praise the youngster during the first half.
The 20-year-old was a threat throughout the game against Newcastle, with Frank Lampard reserving special praise for the England Under-21s star.
"I thought he was good, really good," Lampard told reporters.
"In terms of product on the wing and taking people on. He looked sharp, getting at people. A big threat. I am really pleased with that.
"The end product will come even more with Callum, another young player. So coming inside and getting his shots away, he was giving them a big problem so it was great to see and for the fans to see. Callum needs to carry on doing that.
"There is the other side of the game, off the ball. He knows that he can get better at that, and he will do. There are glimpses today of some of the special stuff he has got."
