What Gareth Bale said about Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after seeing it for the very first time

Gareth Bale is now officially a Tottenham Hotspur player once again.

Departing north London all the way back in 2013 as he sealed a big-money move to Real Madrid, the 31-year-old has returned to the capital on a season-long loan deal.

The news has gone down incredibly well with Spurs supporters and everyone is hoping that the attacker can help push the Lilywhites to the next level in their quest to win silverware and compete for top honours on a regular basis.

Bale wasn't the only addition at the club on Saturday as Real Madrid teammate Sergio Reguilon also joined him at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after sealing a permanent move from Los Blancos.

Both got to step out at the club's stunning new home after signing on the dotted line and the club captured Bale's reaction when he walked out onto the pitch for the very first time.

"It's incredible, literally incredible," he said with a huge beam on his face. "It's amazing. The cockerel up there is incredible as well.

"It's amazing. Very, very impressive."

Speaking to the club's official website following his return to Spurs, the Welshman did admit that he thought he may return one day when initially departing seven years ago.

“It’s nice to be back!” he said. “This is such a special Club to me. It’s where I made my name. What an amazing Club, amazing fans, and it’s just incredible to be back.

"Hopefully now I can get some match fitness, help the team and win trophies.

“I always thought when I did leave that one day I would love to come back, and the opportunity has now arisen.

"I feel like it’s a good fit, it’s a good time for me, I’m hungry, I’m motivated, I want to do well and can’t wait to get started.”
