Gareth Bale was previously asked about his opinion on Jose Mourinho, amid reports that Tottenham Hotspur have reopened talks.
According to The Times, Spurs are confident that they can seal a stunning deadline day deal for the Real Madrid winger.
The report claims Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has travelled to Madrid for talks with Real president Florentino Perez.
Spurs would reportedly prefer a loan if they were to sign the forward, but Bale's agent dismissed such a possibility.
"Why would one of the best players on Earth go on loan? That's ridiculous," Jonathan Barnett said.
"At the moment, he is going to be playing football for Real Madrid and he has got two-and-a-half years left on his contract.
"He is happy and hopefully he will win a couple of more things with Real Madrid."
Bale, who scored 55 goals for Spurs in a six-year spell, moved to Madrid in search of silverware and the decision has been fully vindicated with one La Liga title and four Champions League trophies since his arrival at the Bernabeu in 2013.
Speaking to BT Sport, Bale believes success could be close for his former side and praised the club's ambition when they appointed Mourinho.
"Having [Jose] Mourinho there is an amazing statement from the club, I think he's a serial winner," he said in December.
"Tottenham want to win trophies and I don't think there's a better partnership than Mourinho and Tottenham together to try and win some trophies."
Bale's own future at Real Madrid has been uncertain for months after public fall-outs with manager Zinedine Zidane and the club's supporters.
The winger was jeered at home matches last season and criticised for posing with a flag that read: 'Wales, golf, Madrid, in that order,' after the national team qualified for Euro 2020.
"I think the first time it happened [being booed], it was a bit of a shock. I didn't really know how to deal with it.
"But as I've got older, it's happened one or two more times and you understand how to deal with it.
"Now I just shrug it off. In way, with respect it's the best place to get whistled if you don't perform which I understand.
"Obviously I have to just keep working hard and keep proving to the fans what I can do. Eventually the whistles do stop and you get on with your career like normal."
