Gareth Bale's return to Tottenham has been met with much excitement from the supporters in N17.
And almost as much as his return itself there had been much talk over which squad number he would take at Spurs.
Bale had previously been 16, 3 and 11 during his earlier stint with Spurs, with the favoured 11 shirt now work by Erik Lamela.
With left-back Sergio Reguilon joining him in north London, the number 3 shirt was always likely to go to him, so would Bale choose 16 once more or a different number?
The number nine shirt has been vacant at Spurs and it was revealed, even before his signing was confirmed, that Bale would be taking the nine shirt.
It is not the first time in his Spurs career he has worn it though, as he reminded people during a behind the scenes photoshoot for the club's official channels.
When he saw the new number nine shirt for the first time, Bale had to take a photo on his mobile phone saying: "Need to have a picture first, looks weird that doesn't it?"
He went on to say: "I had that in pre-season once. When I tried to change from three to 11 [Raphael] van der Vaart was there and in pre-season I said 'I just don't want three' and to change I asked him to go 10 because [Emmanuel] Adebayor went so I had to go nine in pre-season and I've actually got a nine shirt at home from pre-season in New York.
"Can't believe I'm number nine."
