What Gabriel Jesus did for Brazil vs South Korea amid strong Arsenal transfer links

Arsenal target Gabriel Jesus scored a fantastic goal as Brazil thrashed South Korea 5-1 in Seoul on Thursday.

football.london understands that the Manchester City striker and Roma frontman Tammy Abraham are among the shortlisted profiles who could arrive at Emirates Stadium. Jesus, in particular, remains open to leaving the current Premier League champions, with his representative reportedly holding talks with Edu throughout the past few months. Arsenal first made enquiries for Jesus in November, with Edu maintaining a close relationship with the player's agent and the City forward himself.

Although it was only an international friendly, and the game was already wrapped up with Jesus scoring the fifth and final goal for the Brazilians, Arsenal fans may take some interest in the 25-year-old's finish, given the strong transfer links around his future at the moment.

The forward was introduced in the 78th minute, replacing Leeds' Raphinha - who's also been linked with a move to the Gunners - with the scoreline in Seoul at 3-1. But further strikes from fellow substitute Phillipe Coutinho and Jesus helped guide Tite's side to a convincing victory.

Picking up play on the right-hand-side, the forward weaved his way through the challenges before finding the far corner of the net with a clinical left-footed finish.

It's the type of thing Arsenal fans want to see Jesus do in red and white next season. Whether Edu and Co can get a deal over the line remains to be seen, but he'd certainly strengthen Mikel Arteta's squad.
