What futures bettors can learn from NBA opening night

The NBA tips off Tuesday night with a marquee doubleheader featuring a rematch of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks followed by a rematch of the Western Conference play-in game between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.

The four teams in action have the four best odds to finish the 2021-22 season as NBA champions, led by the Nets at +210 on Tipico Sportsbook. They’re followed by the Lakers at +320, Bucks at +750 and Warriors at +1000.

Expecting to know the answer to who wins the title after the first of 82 games is silly, but there are perhaps a few things that can be gleaned from this opening set of games. Here’s what futures bettors can watch for on the NBA’s opening night.
