What Frank Lampard told Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool's bench during Chelsea's defeat at Anfield

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard warned Liverpool to not become arrogant after an in-game spat with Jurgen Klopp and the Reds' bench.

The Blues head coach was fuming after a free-kick was given away by Mateo Kovacic, leading to Trent Alexander-Arnold scoring the second goal in the 5-3 Chelsea defeat.

Replays showed that Kovacic clearly got the ball from Sadio Mane, however Andre Marriner gave the free-kick and it cost the Blues dearly.

What followed was a flare-up between the Chelsea boss and Liverpool's bench, with a video having emerged from the stands of the incident between the two sets of backroom staff.

In the video, Lampard can be heard telling Liverpool assistant boss Pepijn Lijnders to 'sit down' and stating that the tackle was 'not a foul'.

Lampard can also be heard saying 'It's not a f***ing foul, I'm not asking you', to the Liverpool bench, while Klopp tells him to calm down.

The Blues boss was obviously not happy with something that was said from the Liverpool bench, however Lampard played the incident down once the final whistle was blown.

"Fair play to Liverpool Football Club, they've won the league, but also don't get too arrogant with it," Lampard said after the game.

"That was my point, but it's done. In match play, you can get emotional and that was it.

"For me, it wasn't a foul from Kovacic, and there were a lot of things that weren't going our way.

"But I've not got a problem with Jurgen Klopp. The way he's managed this team has been fantastic."
