Frank Lampard has played down suggestions that Kai Havertz could join Chelsea this summer.
The Blues have already completed the signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
However, they're been heavily linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Havertz, with the German prodigy keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.
Ben Chilwell and several goalkeeper replacements for Kepa Arrizabalaga, such as Dean Henderson, Nick Pope and Andre Onana, have also been linked with a summer transfer to Chelsea.
Having watched his side crash out of the Champions League to Bayern Munich, with a 7-1 aggregate score, Lampard will be well aware of the challenge he faces to lift his side up to the standard of Europe's elite teams.
When pressed on Chelsea's potential transfer activity, Lampard remain coy on any further incomings but played down the likelihood of Havertz arriving.
“We’ll look at that (transfers). That’s our job, my job, we’re all very joined up on how we’ve worked at it already," he told BT Sport.
"From having a transfer ban, we can feel from where other clubs have spent and improved, recruitment is a huge part of this game. Nights like these from a footballing sense show me a lot, so it’s a conversation now.
"The season has ended, it’s a very quick turnaround, but now is the time to see what areas we can improve in.
“I wouldn’t expect anything (on Havertz).
"It’s our job to go away and see what happens, and to see if we can improve. In a footballing sense, I feel like I know where we can, but now, it’s time to look at that.”
