What Frank Lampard and Chris Wilder did before Sheffield United vs Chelsea kick-off

There have been all sorts of rules and regulations to get used to with the return of football since the coronavirus pandemic took hold.

Football is being played behind closed doors as the pandemic continues to hit the world hard, with social distancing in place as the Premier League season concludes.

Chelsea, like every other side in the top flight, have been adhering to certain new rules in a bid to get the season completed with substitutes told to social distance on the bench while waiting to play.

And goal celebrations have been somewhat mooted too, even though everyone has tested negative for the virus, with many refusing to go over the top with their celebrations, not wanting to get too close to their team-mates.

We have also seen plenty of fist bumps, with players no longer shaking hands before matches kick-off.

That has also been the case on the touchline, with managers and head coaches doing fist bumps or arm touches instead of handshakes.

That was not the case at Bramall Lane, however.

For the first time we saw two managers shake hands on the touchline prior to a match, with Frank Lampard and Chris Wilder doing so in a moment that was caught on camera.

It was, given everything that has happened, a very normal, but very strange moment at the same time.

One eagle-eyed fan Kieran Doyle noticed, saying on Twitter: "Lampard and Wilder shaking hands, naughty naughty."
