What former Man United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic said to enrage ex-QPR defender Nedum Onuoha

Former Queens Park Rangers skipper Nedum Onuoha has lashed out at Zlatan Ibrahimovic after a fiery encounter in the MLS.

The chief came head to head with the former Manchester Unite man when Real Salt Lake met La Galaxy in a clash which saw the pair go square up after Ibrahimovic appeared to catch the defender with an elbow.

After a series of arguments, Ibrahimovic aggressively celebrated in Onuoha's face after scoring the winning goal.

The striker approached Onuoha after the game to apologise for his conduct, but the 32-year-old said that it was too little too late.

He said: "He (Ibrahimovic) came in to apologise after the game because from 60 minutes in he’s saying he’s going to do me, he’s going to hurt me for that game.

“This is a guy who is the face of MLS, as he calls himself, but this is the way that he plays on the field?

"So I don’t care. If someone comes in and says that to me, I don’t care. I’m not going to accept his apology. It’s unacceptable.”

However Ibrahimovic brushed off suggestions that he overstepped the mark, saying: "I like to feel alive. I like when it becomes duels and that because sometimes, not that I fall asleep, but I don't feel alive if they don't activate me.

"They need to activate me or else it becomes too easy. I know me. When I get angry I feel good."
