What former Love Island stars are saying about this year’s contestants

Last night Love Island viewers were introduced to ten new contestants who entered the sun-soaked villa in Mallorca.

Viewers have just scratched the surface on getting to know this year’s group, but despite this, ex-contestants have been tuning in to the series and voicing their opinions.

Biochemist Yewande Biala tweeted letting everyone know she was on Team Kaz: “Rooting for @kazkamwi so much! It’s literally the ghetto in there!”

The last crowned winner of the summer series, Amber Gill, also took the same stance: “C’MON Kaz with the baddie energy!”

Series three’s Tyne-Lexy Clarson told her 422,000 Instagram followers that she had Shannon’s back. She said: “So far my favourite girl. Holds herself so well absolutely stunning and seems like she’s going to be a wild one!”

Tyne-Lexy also added an appreciation story for Brad.

On first impressions, Shannon was also backed by Cara De La Hodye, with the series two winner saying she was on ‘team Shannon’.

After none of the girls stepped forward for Hugo Hammond, Joanna Chimonides, most known for coupling up with Michael Griffiths in Casa Amor, gave the 24-year-old P.E teacher some words of encouragement: “I’m so sorry Hugo, I feel so sorry for him. It’s going to be okay; it will be okay!”
