A former Italian restaurant could be converted into a dance studio, new plans have revealed.
A proposal to turn Il Gusto in Bury Road , which is now permanently closed, into a dance studio has been submitted to the council.
The application has come from Forza Dance Studios which is currently based at St Catherine’s Academy in Breightmet.
It said: “Structurally, no work needs doing to the building for the conversion, it is purely cosmetic work such as changing the floor from tiles to marley.
"The main space downstairs will be our dance studio, with the old kitchen as storage space.
“Upstairs is allocated as the student and parent area with a WC, a small kitchen space containing a kettle and microwave, a student room where they can store their belongings during class and a small seating area for parents to wait.”
The town hall is expected to make a decision next month.
