Folarin Balogun has already begun to live up to the promise made after signing his new Arsenal contract.
After months of speculation regarding his future, the 19-year-old officially put pen-to-paper on a long-term deal at the Emirates Stadium, just eight weeks before his previous one was due to expire.
And speaking after the announcement was made, Balogun vowed to make an impression in the first-team next season.
"My ambitions for next season are to make an impact on the first team," he said. "I see it as something I've taken upon myself to be able to go over there and make an impact and not just be one of the numbers.
"I want to be someone who eventually leads that group so I would say I have quite drive ambitions and we’ll see if I can make them happen."
One way to catch the eye of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is impressing in training.
Something that Balogun has done in his first session since signing his new contract as the Gunners' official Twitter account has uploaded a 33-second clip of the striker showcasing his finishing ability.
In total, Balogun found the back of net five times from six attempts.
The one time he saw an effort saved by Bernd Leno, the teenager showed his poaching instincts by nodding home the rebound.
Whilst Balogun's aim is to make an impact next season, some Arsenal fans think he has a chance to make a name for himself ahead of schedule.
The Gunners are back in Europa League action on Thursday night, facing Unai Emery's Villarreal in the first-leg of their semi-final tie, and there's a theory that an Arteta team news hint may have been dropped already.
Balogun was left out of the under-23s' matchday squad to face Leicester City in the Premier League 2 on Monday evening.
This was surprising considering how important he has been for the development squad this season.
As a result, some Gunners fans believe Balogun could feature in the squad against Villarreal later this week, especially as Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are fitness doubts.
