What fitness experts said about Daniel James after training with Manchester United's new signing

New Manchester United signing Daniel James has been praised for his 'mentality' after undergoing a vigorous training scheme when he didn't necessarily need to before reporting for his first United training session.

James became Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first United signing last month when he completed his £15million switch from Swansea City, following his participation in Wales' EURO 2020 qualifiers.

Due to the 21-year-old's involvement in the competitive fixtures during the summer break the winger was afforded extra time off by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Regardless, James still chose to head to Dubai for some relentless pre-season training with fitness team Kaizen 3 Performance, who couldn't speak highly enough of the United newboy.

"We've worked with so many players that have potential but just want to rely on their ability," Dan Edwards, a football technician at K3P told the Daily Mail.

"Whereas he's got the mentality and the attitude to go where he wants to. He's already fit from being with Wales. He's sharp. We could tell from the first session.

"He contacted us himself, it wasn't through an agent, it wasn't through Manchester United, he obviously wants to improve and be as sharp as possible for when he joins United.

"For a player to want to do that - when it's normally agents that will contact us - it speaks for itself."

It certainly appears as if James has the right attitude as he looks to make an impact at Old Trafford this season.
