What finally healed the 'rift' between Prince Harry and William

A long-running rift between Prince William and Prince Harry was healed weeks ago - and their relationship is now "back on track", it has been claimed.

Reports of a cooling off between the two brothers have circulated since last year, but a reorganisation of the Royal households has possibly lead to a reconciliation.

It has been claimed the tensions were sparked when William questioned whether Harry was too hasty in marrying  Meghan Markle last May, less than two years after they met.

But royal sources say the rift was healed up to ten weeks ago, the Daily Mail reports.

The reconciliation came as housing arrangements for the two princes were changed.

Harry is moving to a new office at Buckingham Palace, while William remains at Kensington Palace.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Finalising plans on their future paths and roles did make things easier.

"There was no formal process or meetings required. It was never that bad. They worked things out between themselves."

Aides have admitted the dynamic between the brothers has been "strained" over the last year, but those close to the two princes claimed that their relationship had been "back on track for a while now".

'They are in regular contact, which is the main thing,’ the source added.

The princes were seen together at a small gathering of mutual friends recently, and on Easter Sunday Harry and Meghan – who is due to give birth any day now – gave William and Kate a tour of their new home, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

The get-together took place just before William flew to New Zealand for a tour to pay tribute to the those who died in the Mosque shootings.

A spokesperson for Prince Harry declined to comment
