What films to watch on Netflix when you're in self-isolation

Is self-isolation ruining your social life? Not a problem- as new 'Netflix Party' has launched to let you watch films and programmes remotely along with your friends.

With coronavirus being a huge talking point right now, it's recommended that we stay in doors where possible so what better way to self-isolate than having a Netflix marathon?

So why not round up some pals and host a long distance movie night?

But what to watch you ask? We've made a list that's got something for everyone, so grab a 'quarantini', pick your favourite, get cosy and enjoy!

 A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place (Publicity Picture)

This film is a horror so if that's your thing, this is the one for you. It's just new to Netflix and we absolutely love it with our favourite actors John Krasinski and Emily Blunt.

Synopsis: Cut off from the rest of the world, a tight-knit family lives in constant fear of making any sound that will attract terrifying alien creatures.

Blockers

Blockers (Handout)

This comedy will have you in stitches, it's about three girls who are on a mission to get lucky on their prom night. It's not been on Netflix long so make sure to add it to your list!

Synopsis: After discovering their teenage daughter's pact to have sex on prom night, a trio of parents embarks on a fiery, beer-filled mission to stop them.

Fighting with my Family

Fighting With My Family (Publicity Picture)

This is a film suitable for all the family. We picked this one purely because The Rock is in it - and let's be honest everyone loves a bit of The Rock right?

It's a true story about a young female wrestler who wants to make it to the top.

Synopsis: Raised in a feisty English wrestling family, scrappy Saraya must train hard and pay her dues to get her big break as a pro wrestler in the WWE.

ExMachina

So this one is quite relatable for the current situation, it's about a young programmer who spends a week in isolation. A bit different in the sense he tests a female A.I in a ground breaking experiment.

Synopsis: This independent sci-fi thriller won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, beating out several big-budget epics.

A Simple Favour

A Simpe Favor (Publicity Picture)

As Blake Lively generously donated over $1 million to American charities amid the coronavirus crisis, we thought we would give this female-lead thriller a mention.

From the director of Bridesmaids this film fuses comedy and thrills with a hint of glamour - we were absolutely living for Blake's outfits in this one - it took us back to the Gossip Girl days!

Synopsis: Paul Feig directs a thriller starring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.
