What Exactly Is an 'AI Hypercar?' We'll Find Out Next Month

When you hear the name Pininfarina, you probably think of sultry supercars hand-crafted by the finest automotive designers Turin has to offer. This newcomer is no exception—at least, it appears so on the surface.

Pininfarina has teamed up with a new, emerging brand named Vittori to bring its Turbio hypercar project to life. Scheduled to debut on October 4th in Miami, the concept is being hailed as the world's first "AI hypercar"—a fusion of extreme power, active aerodynamics, and cutting-edge digital technology.

At its core is a 6.8-liter V-12 engine paired with a single electric motor on the front axle, delivering a combined output of 1,110 horsepower. The Turbio reportedly accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds, and while we don’t know top speed, it promises to be nothing short of hypercar-worthy.

The chassis and body will feature carbon and titanium components, manufactured using advanced 3D printing techniques guided by artificial intelligence. This process reportedly gives the vehicle a distinctly unique design.

The styling is the result of a collaboration with Pininfarina, and based on early sketches, the hypercar draws inspiration from brands like Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, and Lamborghini. Key design elements include an aggressive front end with a horseshoe-shaped grille, slim headlights, a “double bubble” roof, and a striking rear diffuser that frames its X-shaped taillights.

In terms of size and proportions, the Turbio closely matches the Lamborghini Revuelto. Vittori only plans to make 50 units. We don’t know pricing, or whether the model debuting in Miami will be followed by more special editions. As with many hypercars, though, expect extensive customization options—ranging from exterior colors to interior finishes.
