What Erik ten Hag said about Manchester United in latest Ajax press conference

Erik ten Hag insists he is already used to the increased media interest in himself since agreeing to manage Manchester United at the end of the season.

The 52-year-old was formally announced as United's next manager last month and will arrive at Old Trafford after he has finished his current domestic season with Ajax.

Ten Hag is looking to win his third Dutch top-flight title with the Amsterdam club, with his side possessing a four-point lead as they head into the final three matches of the season.

Ajax could potentially win the Eredivisie this weekend, and when quizzed on the interest in his impending move to Manchester, he once again reiterated his current focus on the job in hand.

"Ajax is also big and I am used to it," the United manager-in-waiting said at a press conference. "I am not interested in media, I am interested in my work. Working with my team and my players. That is what I have been doing and what I will keep doing."

When asked how he would handle the personalities in the United dressing room, he added: "They are questions for the future and not for this moment.

"I want to answer questions about Ajax. We are in an important race and an important week. I focus on this. I pay attention to Ajax and not to Manchester United at this moment."
