Eddie Howe is hoping his Newcastle United side can use Sunday’s drubbing at Leicester City as motivation to pick all three points against Liverpool.
The Magpies were beaten 4-0 by Brendan Rodgers’ side at the King Power as their poor run of form continued.
Howe's men are currently 19th in the Premier League table, three points from safety, but face a difficult run of fixtures starting at Anfield on Thursday.
Newcastle’s record on Merseyside is far from impressive, with their last win at Anfield coming back in 1995 courtesy of a Steve Watson goal in a League Cup tie.

And given his side’s poor run of form so far this season, Howe has admitted he will issue his players with a message about confidence ahead of the game.
He told the Chronicle : "Heads were down because they are disappointed. And we know the importance of every game we will play in.
"I think that is a natural human reaction (heads down) and I wouldn't necessarily discourage that reaction because that is the pain that pushes you on to respond.
"It motivates you for the challenge you have ahead."
Before continuing: "I do think we now need to dust ourselves down and then look very positively to the games we have.
"We are obviously going to need to do things better at Liverpool than we did at Leicester from a defensive viewpoint.
"But every game is so different and today's challenge (Leicester) was a unique one."
Howe then concluded: "There are not many times in my managerial career where I've come off with a 4-0 defeat feeling that it was very harsh and that is going to be my message to the players - not to lose too much confidence from Leicester."
