CloverPit is all about coming up with combinations of charms that give you the most coins during a run. Some charms are straightforward and directly increase your Luck or income, while others, like Depression, are a bit more complicated.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Depression charm in CloverPit.
How the Depression charm works in CloverPit

The Depression charm in CloverPit reduces the spontaneous Luck (indicated with sparks when you pull the lever) of the slot machine to zero. Lucky charms can still increase Luck, but that will be your only source of Luck in the run. It may feel counterintuitive to reduce it, as you need Luck for a better chance to get patterns and earn coins, but there are a few charms you can pair Depression with.
Here are some of the lucky charms that can synergize with Depression:
- Toy Train: Luck +5 on the next spin if the previous two had no reward. +2 extra Luck for every in sequence activation after the first one.
- Diesel Locomotive: Increase all patterns by their base value permanently if the previous three spins had no reward.
- Steam Locomotive: Increase all symbols by their base value permanently if the previous three spins had no reward.
- Little Star: If the last spin didn’t score any patterns, the next one grants a HOR-XL pattern in the center.
Most of them increase gains after getting consecutive spins with no rewards. You still need to earn coins, though, which means you need a way to improve your Luck and get more of the same symbols to have a better chance at scoring patterns. Charms like Rotated Hamsa, Red Shiny Rock, and other charms that provide Luck on demand can all help with that.
There are likely more ways to put this charm to use, so unlock new items and experiment to make the most of it.
How to unlock the Depression charm in CloverPit

Depression charm unlocks after you’ve opened the door and escaped at least once. Escaping means completing the game, and it takes quite a bit of grinding, as you need to unlock all four drawers to then obtain four Corpse pieces and a skull during one of your runs before earning enough coins for the final key (unless you’re trying to do the secret ending, then the process has a few extra conditions).
