School bubbles axed and major self-isolation shake-up - have your say on new Covid plans

Amongst an avalanche of changes to Covid restrictions over the last 24 hours, Sajid Javid told the Commons today that people with both doses of the Covid vaccine as well as under-18s will no longer have to isolate if they come into contact with the virus from 16 August.

People receiving their second dose shortly before, on, or after the 16th of August will have to wait two weeks after their second jab before the changes impact them.

School bubbles will also be scrapped.

Earlier we found that Mirror readers were generally opposed to the the government's plan to move to Step 4 of lockdown easing on 19 July.
