Hi,

This is the penultimate chapter in my series on the new retirement. There will be a break of a couple of weeks, then a long read that brings everything together – and considers new issues that readers have asked me about.

This week I’m responding to a question that many of you have posed: how to retire successfully. Of course, success is a loaded word. For some, money will be the problem; for others, time - either not enough of it or, perhaps worse, too much.

But for all there will be a metamorphosis of sorts, coming to terms with the end of one era and the start of another. So how do you handle this major life transition effectively? You can read the article and leave your comments on it here here.

I’m a few years from retirement myself but I’ve found the answers incredibly interesting and helpful for when my time comes. I hope you do too.

All the best,

Amelia
