Now that the dust has settled on the Miami Dolphins’ massive offensive overhaul this offseason, the biggest remaining question for many Dolphins fans is “what should the expectation be for Tua Tagovailoa in Year 2?”
That’s not necessarily an easy question to answer, given that Tagovailoa showed plenty of appeal in his rookie season but also a number of prominent concerns and, until we see him in action again this fall, it is going to be very difficult to compartmentalize which of the issues at hand were a result of the coaching and or the supporting cast and which ones were a byproduct of Tagovailoa himself.
But while there’s plenty of uncertainty around Tagovailoa and his production, there’s a number of resources out there that are currently offering a forecast for the season ahead: fantasy football services.
The fantasy market is hotter than ever and there’s no shortage of specialty platforms that can provide you with a unique experience in the fall. But regardless of where you play, each and every fantasy service has a series of projections for the year to come; including for Tagovailoa. So what are they saying about Miami’s second-year quarterback?

Tua Tagovailoa – 3,944 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 55 rushing attempts, 213 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns
CBS Sports
Tua Tagovailoa – 4,232 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns, 16 interceptions, 53 rushing attempts, 198 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns, 1 fumble lost
There are varying degrees of aggression with the forecast for Tagovailoa, with CBS seemingly the most willing to embrace the ceiling of Tagovailoa’s new weapons. We’ll say this for certain — if the Dolphins get this level of production out of the quarterback position, regardless of whether it is the Yahoo!, ESPN or CBS Sports variety, the team will be well positioned to make a return to the postseason in the year ahead.
