Derek McInnes has refused to comment on reports James Penrice is on his way to Rangers.
It has been claimed the former Hearts left-back will sign on loan for the Ibrox club from AEK Athens, with an option to buy included. Fabrizio Romano reported a medical would take place tomorrow.
However, McInnes was quizzed on that link in his press conference after Rangers were dumped out of the Europa League by Jagiellonia Bialystok.

He said: "Until deals are done and over the line, it's tough for me to actually comment on that. We're actively trying to get some players in.
"The club's worked so hard - I see it firsthand. My office is next door to the recruitment lads and everybody else, and there's constant conversations.
"Everybody's working extremely hard to get the necessary players, the type of players that we require at the club, not just signing any player. We are hopeful we can land a few.
"Andrew [Cavenagh} said at the shareholders' meeting between three and five, so we've still got work to do to get that type of number in."
