Dele Alli is hoping to be involved for Tottenham Hotspur in their FA Cup clash with minnows Marine this weekend.
Jose Mourinho's side take on the non-League Merseysiders at their Rossett Park ground in the third round of the famous competition on Sunday (5pm).
Mourinho could ring the changes, which may give a chance to Alli, who has found his first-team action limited so far this season.
The England international has been linked with a move away from Spurs during the January transfer window.
A possible reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain has been mooted.
For the time being, though, the 24-year-old remains a Tottenham player.
He has not featured since the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Stoke City, after which he was publicly criticised by Mourinho for his role in the Stoke goal during the 3-1 victory.
Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has shared a conversation he had with Alli after Spurs beat Marcelo Bielsa's side in the Premier League recently.
The pair have played alongside each other previously at MK Dons.
Former Chelsea forward Bamford has been preparing for Leeds' third-round tie at Crawley Town on Sunday (1.30pm).
Speaking to the Official Leeds United Podcast, he said: “I don’t know if I’ll play this weekend, but it is a cup that as Jermaine (Beckford, fellow guest) said, it’s got a lot of history, I feel like.
“I was speaking to Dele after the game, after the Spurs game and he was saying hopefully he’ll play this weekend.
"So they’re playing against Marine FC or something - I don’t know what league they’re in.”
For Bamford's information, Marine currently ply their trade in Division One North West of the Northern Premier League.
Their match with Spurs represents the biggest gulf between opponents in the history of the FA Cup.
