What Dele Alli has done to force his way back into Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham plans

It's been a difficult time for everyone at Tottenham Hotspur, but most notably Dele Alli.

After an injury-hit campaign last season, the midfielder has been working his way back to fitness this term, but it's been a bumpy road.

Alli has made just four appearances so far this term, but what's more concerning is the struggle he's had to recapture the form that propelled him to stardom.

But the 23-year-old is now taking measures to get back to his best.

According to the Mirror , Alli has hired a personal nutritionist to try and put his injury woes behind him.

The Spurs man is hoping to put a stop the the niggling muscle injuries which have plagued the last couple of years of his career.

This included four hamstring injuries in 18 months and a disjointed campaign off the back of England's World Cup campaign last summer.

The report claims that Alli's new diet consists of 'high protein content, drinking more water, cutting out all sugar and watching everything he eats', as well as taking up Yoga.

He's also said to have reduced the number of commercial activities that he's involved in as he looks to get back to fitness.

Whether it works remains to be seen, but Tottenham fans will certainly be hoping that a fully-fit Dele Alli could be key to getting the team back on track.
