What Declan Rice did after Jesse Lingard scored against Leicester that West Ham fans will love

Things just keep getting better and better for Jesse Lingard and West Ham.

The Manchester United midfielder has been in superb form for the Hammers since joining David Moyes' side in January, scoring six goals in his first eight games for the club.

And that has become eight goals in nine appearances after Lingard netted two in the first half in the Hammers' clash with Leicester City at the London Stadium.

Lingard broke the deadlock in east London from the edge of the box, striking the Hammers in front with a controlled finish after being played the ball by Vladimir Coufal.

Gareth Southgate pleased with Jesse Lingard return

Understandably, the goal was met with jubilant scenes at the London Stadium as West Ham players celebrated his strike, both on and off the pitch.

While Lingard's West Ham team-mates celebrated with him on the pitch, Declan Rice was just as jubilant in the stands as he watched on.

The midfielder, who is currently sidelined through injury, was caught on camera getting off his seat and applauding the effort of his team-mate, before he then took to social media to deliver his verdict on Lingard.

Writing on Twitter, he said: "He can’t be stoppeddd [sic].

Rice's message came before Lingard doubled West Ham's advantage with a simple tap-in after a breakaway from the Hammers, after being played the ball by Jarrod Bowen.

His second goal gave West Ham a 2-0 lead at the break, with the Hammers on course to climb back above Chelsea into fourth in the Premier League and close the gap on Leicester in third to just two points.
