David Luiz has completed a sensational switch from Chelsea to Arsenal this evening as the Gunners have made another impressive piece of business.
The major headline of the summer for Arsenal has been the £72m arrival of Nicolas Pepe from Lille, while Dani Ceballos also signed from Real Madrid.
Gabriel Martinelli joined the Gunners earlier this summer, while William Saliba signed for Arsenal but has been loaned back to Saint-Etienne.
Kieran Tierney has arrived from Celtic for £25m but it's Luiz's loan deal which is creating big headlines as well at the moment.
Luiz committed his future to Chelsea in May by signing a new contract which would have expired at the end of next season.
However, he altered his thinking and following a £8m bid from Arsenal, the defender has moved to the Emirates.
The 32-year-old is no stranger to Unai Emery, having worked with the Arsenal boss at Paris Saint-Germain. His previous comments on the manager certainly make for interesting reading.
"Unai came (to Arsenal) to try to build a new philosophy and to try to gain the trust of the players, from the fans, from the club. I think he has been doing an amazing job," Luiz said of Emery.
“I had the opportunity to work with Unai for a few months. He’s a great guy, a great coach, a great person.
"He’s passionate. He loves his work. He likes to build teams who are spirited, play with passion and you can see that.
"He has had the opportunity to work with a lot of young players and I think they have understood his philosophy."
