What Danny Rose did after being left out of the Tottenham squad for 2-2 draw against Norwich

Tottenham Hotspur's 2-2 draw against Norwich City in their final game of 2019 was achieved without the services of Danny Rose.

The left-back got 16 minutes under his belt in the 2-0 loss at the hands of Chelsea last weekend, but didn't make the matchday squad for the Boxing Day home win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

It was the same story at Carrow Road.

Jose Mourinho: Harry Kane is fantastic

Premier Injuries state Rose is currently sidelined with a muscular problem and there's no return date set ahead of the New Year's Day fixture against Southampton away from home.

In Rose's absence, Jose Mourinho went with a back three to start with against the Canaries.

But following a rather poor defensive showing in the first-half, Jan Vertonghen and Juan Foyth were taken off which meant Ryan Sessesgnon went from left-wing back to left-back.

It remains to be seen when Rose is fit enough to return.

And he took full advantage of not travelling to Norwich as he enjoyed a night of Darts after presumably watching his teammates secure a 2-2 draw.

"Good to see Danny Rose in the crowd tonight enjoying a few arrows!," tweeted the PDC Darts account.

Whilst the January transfer window could see plenty of movement at Spurs, Rose has previously stated that he has no plans to leave next month.

In an interview with the Evening Standard last month, the England international has lifted the lid on what happened during the summer and has told fans not to believe any rumours about him leaving in January.

"In January, you're probably going to hear something [about my future]. I'm telling you right now that I'm not going anywhere until my contract is finished.

"[Tottenham chairman] Daniel Levy told me in the summer there was no new contract for me at Tottenham, which is fine. I respect that. We move on.

"My contract is up in 18 months' time and I'll leave the football club then. People [in the media] can save their time trying to get stuff ready for January about me being sold.

"Because I can tell you now: it ain't happening.
