The All-Ireland Hurling Championship has been contested since 1887 and it is Kilkenny who have the most titles.
The Cats have lifted the Liam McCarthy Cup on 36 occasions and have been in 62 finals, with their latest win coming in 2015.
Brian Cody's side have the chance to make it 37 on Sunday when they take on Tipperary in the showpiece.

Another triumph will put them seven titles clear of Cork who have racked up 30 titles through the years.
The Rebels are the leading Munster side - three clear of Tipperary who are looking to lift the Liam McCarthy Cup for the first time since 2016 on Sunday.
In fourth spot is reigning All-Ireland champions Limerick who ended a 45-year wait when they triumphed in 2018.
Galway, who are in seventh spot, have won the title fives times, but have been the runners-up on some 20 occassions.
