What coronavirus tier am I in? Find out with our postcode checker

Matt Hancock has announced which Tier each area of England will be in from this weekend.

After exiting lockdown on December 2, the UK was placed in a three-tier system which gets reviewed every fortnight.

Tier 3 is the highest restriction level and considered very high risk, meanwhile, Tier 2 is the middle level at high risk, and Tier1 is considered a medium risk with the least restrictions in place.

Today (December 17) some areas of the country were told their Tier status will change - with the new restrictions coming into force on Saturday (December 19).

There is now a handy tool that allows residents to check the rules in their hometown, wherever they live in the UK, all thanks to colleagues at our sister-website, InYourArea.

You can try the widget out below.

All users need to do is input their postcode in the indicated box and then press search.

The widget will then do a search and let the user know the area, tier and restrictions which they fall under.
