What classic GAA matches are on TG4 this weekend? Everything you need to know

TG4 have stepped up to the plate in recent weeks and provided GAA-starved fans with a fest of classic action.

The broadcaster has wowed fans, offering a platter of retro gaelic football and hurling on Saturday and Sunday afternoons to help with the withdrawal symptoms.

And with no end in sight to the coronavirus lockdown, fans have two more classic matches to look forward to this this weekend.

TG4 will show the 2004 Munster Hurling final when Waterford defeated Cork and John Mullane saw red before taking part in one of the most famous interviews in GAA history.

Following that match will be the 2012 All-Ireland Football final when Jim McGuinness' Donegal overcame Mayo.

Here's the full schedule:

Sunday 12 April – Easter Sunday All Ireland Gold

2pm – 2004 Munster Hurling Final : Waterford v Cork

3.25pm – 2012 All Ireland Football Final: Donegal v Mayo

After the two games, TG4 will once again show this week's episode of Laochra Gael which tells the story of footballer Brenda McAnespie.

The former Monaghan star played in the 1997 All-Ireland final when she was three months pregnant, with the Oriel County emerging victorious.
