Chelsea will aim to secure their place in this season’s Carabao Cup final when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night.
The visitors already have one foot in the final following their 2-0 victory in the first leg at Stamford Bridge last week, when a strike from Kai Havertz and a Ben Davies own goal before half-time were enough to seal the win.
Tottenham will need to put in a far better performance than they did last week if they are to have any chance of knocking out their opponents in this game.
They will hope that their home advantage could play its part, but a two-goal deficit is going to be a tough challenge for Antonio Conte’s side to overturn against a strong Chelsea team.
Both teams are expected to make a number of changes from their FA Cup winning sides at the weekend, where Chelsea defeated National League Chesterfield 5-1 on Saturday, before Spurs beat League One Morecambe 3-1 on Sunday.

When is Tottenham vs Chelsea?
Tottenham vs Chelsea will kick off at 7:45pm on Wednesday, January 12 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The last meeting between the two sides was indeed last week’s first leg of this Carabao Cup semi-final, when Chelsea managed to defeat a poor Tottenham side 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
A fifth minute Kai Havertz strike set the tone, before a calamitous own goal from Ben Davies after 35 minutes all but wrapped up the game for the hosts and put them in the driving seat heading into the second leg.

Team news
Antonio Conte made eight changes for the Spurs side that beat Morecambe at the weekend, and so the same or at least similar can be expected for the visit of Chelsea, as they look to turn the tie around.
A big boost for the hosts is that they remain relatively injury-free, besides three first teamers who are currently on the sidelines, but Eric Dier (illness) is expected to return after missing the first leg.
Otherwise, Heung-Min Son (leg), Steven Bergwijn (calf) and Cristian Romero (thigh) will miss out.

Just as Conte did, Thomas Tuchel also rang the changes for their FA Cup tie at the weekend, with seven fresh faces coming into the starting XI.
And a similar amount could be made for this fixture, although Tuchel has had seven of his players receiving treatment of late, but Cesar Azpilicueta (thigh) is in line to return.
Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante are likely to remain out due to Covid-19, along with Reece James (thigh), Trevoh Chalobah (thigh), Ben Chilwell (knee) and Edouard Mendy (AFCON).
