What channel is Newcastle United vs Southampton on? Live stream, kick-off time and team news

Newcastle United will look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend as they welcome Southampton to St. James' Park.

The Magpies blew a one-goal lead on Tuesday evening as Crystal Palace won 2-1 on Tyneside.

That came after Steve Bruce led his team to an impressive 2-0 victory over Everton a few days before and they will be looking for a similar display against a disjointed Saints side.

Southampton were thumped 9-0 at Manchester United on Tuesday evening, with the Ralph Hasenhuttl's team going down to nine men.

With all this said, we have gathered all the key information you need to know ahead of Newcastle's next match.

Newcastle could welcome deadline day signing Joe Willock into the squad for the first time after the midfielder completed a late loan move from Arsenal.

Allan Saint-Maximin could start for the Magpies, after coming on in the second-half of the defeat to Palace earlier in the week.

Jamaal Lascelles and Federico Fernandez are the only known absentees for Bruce going into Saturday's clash.

For Southampton, Alex Jankewitz is suspended after picking up a red card in Tuesday's heavy defeat to Manchester United.

Defensive trio Jannik Vestergaard, Mohammed Salisu and Kyle Walker-Peters are all injury doubts.

Oriol Romeu and Ibrahima Diallo are also doubts, with Nathan Tella, Theo Walcott, Michael Obafemi and William Smallbone all absent.

New signing Takumi Minamino could be in the squad after completing a deadline day loan move from Liverpool.

Newcastle United vs Southampton - previous meetings

In the reverse fixture, the Saints won 2-0 back in November - with Che Adams and Stuart Armstrong both on the scoresheet for the hosts.

However, the last meeting between these two at St. James' Park ended up in a 2-1 win for Newcastle.

The last time Southampton beat the Magpies on their home turf was back in 2015, with the Saints winning 2-1 on that day.
