What channel is Man Utd vs Liverpool? Kick-off time, TV and live stream details

Manchester United are back in action after seven weeks as new manager Erik ten Hag prepares to take charge of his first game when his side face Liverpool in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

Ten Hag has had a frustrating start to the summer transfer window, with Tyrell Malacia the only signing so far, while plenty of others have left. Nonetheless, there is much excitement to see how the Red Devils will perform.

As for Liverpool, they secured both domestic cups last campaign but will be gunning for more in 2022/23, while Reds fans will be able to catch a first glimpse of their three new signings, with striker Darwin Nunez the pick of the bunch.

When is Man Utd vs Liverpool?

Manchester United vs Liverpool will kick-off at 2pm (BST) on Tuesday, July 12 at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The last meeting between these two sides came back in April, when Liverpool ran out comfortable victors over their north west rivals yet again in a 4-0 win in the Premier League at Anfield.

Luis Diaz put the hosts ahead after just five minutes, before Mohamed Salah doubled their lead with 22 minutes gone. Things then got worse for United in the second half, with Sadio Mane adding a third in the 68th minute, before Salah grabbed his second five minutes from time.

Team news

The whole footballing world will be watching and waiting to see who is involved in Ten Hag’s first lineup as United manager, with a number of changes from his side’s 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in May expected as he sets about implementing his own style of play.

Red Devils fans will be hoping to see their first glimpse of Malacia in a United shirt as he prepares to make his debut, while Harry Maguire will continue his role as club captain. Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba have all left the club.

As for Liverpool, they come into this game looking the much stronger side and with a big squad at hand, Klopp will be expected to utilise his options and give the majority of his first team players a run-out here.

And there are expected to be debuts for their trio of new signings, as Reds fans prepare to get their first viewings of Fabio Carvalho, Calvin Ramsay and, of course, Uruguayan forward Nunez. Divock Origi, Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Neco Williams have all departed.
