What channel is Man City vs Wolves? Kick-off time, TV and live stream details

Manchester City host struggling Wolves on Sunday hoping to turn the pressure up on Premier League leaders Arsenal.

The reigning champions sit second in the top-flight, five points behind the Gunners, having played a game more. With Mikel Arteta'sa men not playing until Sunday evening, City have the chance to cut their lead to two points if they defeat Wolves.

The Midlands side sit two points above the relegation zone, but they are enjoying a resurgence under new boss Julen Lopetegui. They can extend their unbeaten run in the league to three games by avoiding defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

When is Man City vs Wolves?

Manchester City's clash with Wolves will kick off at 2pm on Sunday, 22 January at the Etihad Stadium.

The last meeting between the two sides came in September at Molineux, with City claiming a comfortable win. Goals from Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden were enough to secure all three points for Pep Guardiola's side.

In total, there have been 127 meetings between City and Wolves, with the former winning 53 times, the Midlands side victorious on 49 occasions and 25 draws. City are on a five game winning run in this fixture, with their last defeat coming in December 2019.

Team news

There are no fresh injury concerns for either side, though Guardiola may look to rotate his team following their thriller against Tottenham in midweek. The City boss was scathing in his criticism of his side despite the win, demanding an improvement.

"We have to do work with fire in there in every situation. It’s not about being better or not better, it’s to think, 'let’s go'. It’s normal to be behind other teams but it’s about, 'let’s go'. We have been in this position many times behind Liverpool," Guardiola said.

"We were lucky today. I didn’t expect us to come back at half-time against Tottenham. 5-4-1? Aggressive. They go to the referee and defend each other. It’s football, my friend. It’s happened. I want to come back. If we want to win something, we have to come back.”
