What channel is Liverpool vs Midtjylland? Kick-off time, TV and live stream details

Liverpool will be expected to collect another three points in the Champions League on Tuesday night when FC Midtjylland come to Anfield.

An own-goal was enough to give Jurgen Klopp’s side a 1-0 win away in Ajax last week, while the Danish champions were thumped 4-0 at home by Italian side Atalanta.

The Reds were boosted at the weekend by the return of first choice goalkeeper Alisson.

His appearance in the starting XI comes after a nervous few weeks with replacement Adrian between the sticks, and after the squad was rocked by a serious injury to defender Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool ’s Group D rivals, Atalanta and Ajax, also kick-off in Italy at 8pm, as do fellow Premier League side Manchester City, who play away to Marseille in Group C.

Reigning European champions Bayern Munich play earlier in the evening when they go to Lokomotiv Moscow for a 5.55pm Group A clash.

Liverpool vs Midtjylland odds

Fabinho impressed for Liverpool last week when he replaced Virgil van Dijk in the Liverpool defence (2020 Liverpool FC)

The next goal Liverpool score will be their 10,000th, historically, in all competitions.

And with Jurgen Klopp's side massively odds on in pretty much all markets for Tuesday's first visit of FC Midjtylland to Anfield - a prohibitive 1/8, the best bets may be in trying to identify who is going to claim that landmark slice of history.

Mo Salah is the obvious choice, 11/5 to score the first goal against the Danes with thepools.com.

Mo loves his big European nights at Anfield. Salah has scored 12 Champions League goals at Anfield (in just 16 appearances). Only Steven Gerrard, with 18, has more.

Like Salah, all of Sadio Mane's 18 European goals have come in the Champions League and he is 3/1 to open the scoring and 8/13 any time .

While Roberto Firmino, who finally seems to have ended his Anfield goal aversion with another one on Saturday night to go with last season's goal against Chelsea - and, of course, one against Atletico Madrid in last season's Champions League, is 5/1 and 6/5 .

The Reds did not keep a clean sheet at home in the Champions League last season but have kept nine in the last 15 at Anfield in Europe - and that will surely continue against Champions League newcomers who were beaten 4-0 at home by Atalanta in their introductory match last week.

Liverpool to win to nil is 4/5 with thepools.com
