What channel is Liverpool vs Man City on - TV, live stream details and team news

Manchester City will bring the curtain down on one of the most challenging weeks in recent memory on Sunday, when they visit Anfield to face Liverpool in the Premier League.

The clash on Merseyside will be City's third match in the space of eight days. Not only are they all away from home and in different cities, the opposition represent three of the strongest teams in European football at the moment.

City were able to get the best of European champions Chelsea on Saturday, dominating for long spells and eventually netting through Gabriel Jesus. But on Tuesday they were unravelled by some Lionel Messi magic, with PSG emerging 2-0 victors.

In Liverpool, City may have the hardest test of the week last too. Jurgen Klopp's team are top of the table going into the weekend and have bagged at least three goals in their last six games. On Tuesday they showed off their firepower, winning 5-1 at Porto.

City will have good memories going to Anfield for a change, as a 4-1 win their last season was their first at the stadium for 18 years. Making it back-to-back successes at the Merseyside club would be a huge accomplishment given the challenges they've faced as of late.

Team news for Liverpool vs. Manchester City

City are not far off having a full squad to choose from, although they will be without Ilkay Gundogan until after the upcoming international break.

Oleksandr Zinchenko remains a doubt too, meaning Joao Cancelo is set to play at left-back again.

Liverpool are more likely to be hampered by injury problems. Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss the game due to injury, meaning former City man James Milner or Joe Gomez will step in at right-back. Thiago Alcantara is also set to sit this out.

Harvey Elliott is a long-term absentee due to the serious injury he picked up against Leeds.
