Kilmarnock's relegation in last season's play-offs will have had followers of the Honest Men salivating at the prospect of four chances to get one over their rivals, while the return of such a highly anticipated match is something of a silver lining for those at Rugby Park.
That's the venue for tonight's opening weekend battle as Tommy Wright's team will hope to put emotions to one side and focus on the overall task at hand this term: promotion at the first time of asking.
It won't be easy but the Killie boss has to right the wrong of their loss to Dundee that sent them through the Premiership trap door.
