What channel is Fulham vs Liverpool? Kick-off time, TV and live stream details

Liverpool get the second Premier League game of the weekend underway when they face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, as they look to set down an early marker in the title race with a convincing performance in the capital..

The Reds have already got their season off to the perfect start with last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Community Shield, and will look to record a second victory of the campaign when they travel to west London.

As for the Cottagers, they have been handed one of the toughest starts possible with this tie but will be hoping to upset the odds with a shock result, having earned promotion from the Championship last season.

When is Fulham vs Liverpool?

Fulham vs Liverpool will kick-off at 12:30pm on Saturday, August 6 at Craven Cottage.

The last meeting between these two sides came back in March 2021, when Fulham recorded a shock 1-0 victory over their hosts at Anfield in the Premier League.

Mario Lemina’s strike on the stroke of half-time was enough to claim all three points for the visitors, as Liverpool failed to break down their opponents and get back into the game, resulting in a sixth straight home defeat in all competitions.

Team news

Fulham boss Marco Silva will be looking to make the most of home advantage in this fixture and play his strongest side possible to get his Championship winners off to a positive start against the Premier League title hopefuls, although he will be without a few injured players for this contest.

Former Liverpool man Harry Wilson (knee), Joe Bryan (broken hand) and Nathaniel Chalobah will all miss out, but summer signings Joao Palhinha, Andreas Pereira, Kevin Mbabu, Bernd Leno and Manor Solomon will be looking to make their competitive debuts. Elsewhere, Aleksandar Mitrovic, who scored 44 goals last season, will lead the line.

As for Jurgen Klopp, getting off to the perfect start is essential if they are to compete at the top all season long, although the German is already plagued with a number of injury concerns ahead of this tie, despite a lengthy pre-season to prepare this summer.

Alisson (abdominal) and Naby Keita (illness) are both expected to be included but Konstantinos Tsimikas (knock) and Ibrahima Konate (knee) are doubts, while Curtis Jones (calf), Caoimhin Kelleher (groin), Diogo Jota (thigh) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (thigh) are all ruled out. Summer signing Darwin Nunez is expected to make his Premier League debut.
