What channel is Bayern Munich vs Chelsea? Kick-off time, TV and live stream information

Chelsea have a mountain to climb if they want to make it to the Champions League quarter-final and extend their season by a few more days.

The Blues go into the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against Bayern Munich 3-0 down, having been soundly defeated at Stamford Bridge way back in February.

A brace from Serge Gnaby and a third from Robert Lewandowski gave the German giants - who recently won their eighth consecutive Bundesliga - a comfortable lead for the second leg.

Here’s all the information you need on how to watch the game.

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea will kick-off against Bayern Munich at 8pm on Saturday.

The match is being played at Bayern’s Allianz Arena, before the Champions League moves to Portugal for its completion.

The winner will play either Barcelona or Napoli, who play their last 16 second leg tie at the Camp Nou on Saturday, with that match also getting underway at 8pm.

BT Sport will again be showing the match, as it maintains its exclusive rights to show the Champions League.

Coverage will start at 7pm on BT Sport 1, which Barcelona vs Napoli on BT Sport 2 from 7.30pm.

As the game is not on free-to-air TV, fans will need to pay. Those who do though can also stream the game through the BT Sport app.

Can Timo Werner play?

Both Chelsea and Bayern Munich have already been active in the transfer market.

Chelsea have splashed the cash to bring striker Timo Werner and winger Hakim Ziyech to west London from RB Leipzig and Ajax respectively, while Bayern have signed Leroy Sane, who had fallen out of favour at Manchester City.

However, none of them will be allowed to play as this is still the 2019/20 season, so fans will have to wait until September for them to make their official debuts.

Chelsea are dispirited, in need of a break, away from home - and trailing 3-0 from the first leg.

So 1/3 with thepools.com for another Bayern victory looks fair. Chelsea are 9/2 just to escape with a draw and 6/1 for a shock win.

But with Bayern not having kicked a competitive ball since July 4 they may take time to hit their stride and Chelsea have been solid in the first 45 minutes this season.

It was 0-0 at half-time last February before Bayern took charge.

Bayern Munich highest scoring half the second half is 21/20 and looks appealing. Robert Lewandowski is the obvious first goalscorer top and he is 2/1 to open the scoring.
