Jurgen Klopp will now take his Liverpool side to the Emirates Stadium for the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal next Thursday, following a high number of Covid-19 cases at Anfield led to the team being sent home from training on Tuesday.
The first leg will now be played on January 13, while the second-leg has also been pushed back a week and will take place on January 20.
The Reds staged a stunning comeback to draw 3-3 with Leicester City in the quarter-finals, before winning the tie 5-4 on penalties, as they reached the semi-finals of a competition for the sixth time under Klopp.
Mikel Arteta’s side have had a remarkable turnaround since the start of the season and that form has seen them reach this stage of the competition - beating League One Sunderland 5-1 in the previous round.
The Gunners will see this as a realistic shot at some silverware this season and will be looking to repeat last season’s heroics against the Reds, when they knocked them out on penalties at Anfield in the Fourth Round of this competition last season.

Team news
Mikel Arteta continues to operate with a near fully fit squad at the moment, although he is likely to be without five of his players for this Carabao Cup clash with Liverpool.
Sead Kolasinac (ankle) remains the only injury doubt, although he is expected to return to training by the end of the month, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny, and Nicolas Pepe are away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, with a huge north London derby coming after this cup clash, he may potentially risk some squad rotation in order to rest some key players for the trip to Spurs.

As for Jurgen Klopp, he could be without a staggering 11 players for this tie in north London, meaning Liverpool could be unrecognisable from the weekend, although Andrew Robertson will return from his suspension.
Takumi Minamino (muscular) should be back in contention, but Nathaniel Phillips (head), Divock Origi (knee), Thiago (hip) and Harvey Elliott (ankle) remain sidelined.
Alisson, Joel Matip and Roberto Firmino have all tested positive for Covid-19, while Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Sadio Mane (Senegal) and Naby Keita (Guinea) have now left for AFCON 2021.
