What Cesar Azpilicueta told Tammy Abraham before Chelsea's first goal against Lille

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has revealed the important role Cesar Azpililcueta played in his opening goal against Lille.

The Blues secured their place in the Champions League last 16 with a 2-1 win over the French outfit.

Goals from Abraham and then Azpilicueta secured second spot in Group H, with Valencia going through as group winners.

Having led 2-0 for most of the game, it was a nervy final few minutes for Frank Lampard's side after ex-Chelsea man Loic Remy pulled a goal back.

However, first-half goals, including Abraham's 13th goal of the season, proved decisive.

It was a predatory instinct from the Englishman who helped settle the Stamford Bridge nerves with the opener after 16 minutes.

Abraham turned home from just a couple of yards after great play from Willian to fire a low cross into his path.

Whilst the finish was a simple one, the movement and positioning of the 22-year-old was to be admired.

After the match, Abraham revealed the role that captain Azpilicueta had one the goal.

"For me, it was just about getting in the box," he told BT Sport.

"I have this guy (Axpilicueta) always telling me, run across the goal, run across the goal, every time.

"That's what I did, thankfully I was in the right place at the right time."
